So we made chocolate cupcakes (please don't read anything into that - this momma just happens to love chocolate) and red, white and blue frosting. Then we decorated them while watching Pres. Obama's inauguration address. Don't look to closely at the time stamp. Yes we watched it at 1pm. Yes, that was 3 hours after it actually happened. Don't tell my kids - they think they watched it live. lol I wasn't about to wake them up though when I knew I could catch a replay.

Clever idea. We watched it live but Merilee kept saying, "Can I watch MY cartoons now?" Someday I hope she will appreciate that we watched it together.
