A few weeks ago, Daniel, Emma and I went to a nurse-in at the Boise airport. We went in response to an incident in which a breastfeeding mother was escorted off of a public flight (booked by Delta) for nursing her 22 month old (Emma's age) daughter. For more info here is a link. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15924715...sweek/from/ET/ It was really great to be able to participate in a nationwide demonstration for something that I feel so passionately about.

Afterwords we went to the Nature Center there in Boise. It was a great afternoon of free fun.

Tuan, Emma and I went to a great pumpkin patch to choose our pumpkins this year. They had a great photo place set up, but it was too busy and we didn't want to wait. We still got great pics in other places. Emma loved the wheelbarrow ride chose a small white pumpkin. I was about 1 week past my duedate at this time and got teased by the owners that I was trying to sneak a pumpkin out of the patch! ;o)

Introducing Daniel Fang Le

Daniel is a name that both Tuan and I really like. Fang is Daniel's Poppa's (grandpa) name. It took some time, but we are very happy with our choice. Emma seems to agree as Daniel was the first and only name choice that she actually said.

Emma looks on as the midwife weighs Daniel. With a guess of 9lbs2oz she came beat out me, Tuan and her apprentice! By the way, at one week he tipped the scale at 9lbs9oz!

Daniel is just starting to pink up after birth when Emma asks to give him a kiss. The kissing hasn't stopped since!

Emma holding her brand new baby brother Daniel.

I tell you! They do it to torment me, don't they! After all the time and thought I put into making their costumes, these are the only pics they let me get! Argh! Emma is a witch (sans hat - that I did make by the way!) and Daniel is her black cat. The pics just get better . . .

and better . . .

and better . . .

and better!

What an adorable black cat!

Emma wanted to help me make her hallowe'en costume. Unfortunately this was the only time other than trick-or-treating that she would wear her hat! She wasn't a fan of the big brim I think.

hmm - how does this go together?

Let's get to work, mom!

Emma is a graduate!

About a week before Daniel arrived, Emma became an EC graduate. (check out this site for more information on EC: www.diaperfreebaby.org) I was hesitant to post since I knew that she would have a new little sibling very soon. She was only in pullups for two days and it was right back to panties. Nightimes are still in diapers with more and more dry mornings. This is incredibly exciting to have Emma graduate right when her little brother starts!

I actually didn't bring the bjorn potty out. Emma found it and had a blast sitting in it again. She hasn't used it since the move when she went on potty strike. She looks so big sitting on it now!

Emma decided that Daniel's bouncer looked like fun. Lucky for her she is still under 25lbs (the limit) Not so lucky for her she is not allowed to play in the bouncer. :o)
