FHE: It's all about the treats!
On Monday Tuan, Emma and I had family home evening - something we do each Monday (or Tuesday or - you get the idea!). But this time we made some really fun treats: dessert pizzas. Our choices of toppings were: homemade peanut butter frosting, fresh sweetened whipped cream, strawberry jam, ice cream, coconut, chocolate chips and skittles. Very, very unhealthy, but very, very yummy! Emma had a blast helping to top them. Pictures to follow soon.

Butt Mommy!
My dd is very rapidly gaining a vocabulary but sometimes it is very hard to understand her. Yesterday she added a new word: broken. It sounds like butt and she made up a sign for it - picking at her thumbnails! She kept pointing to a picture on our wall that had a broken vase in it, but it wasn't until 3 hrs later when she accidentally broke something and started saying it again that we actually figured out what she had been trying to tell us. I can't even imaging how frustrating it must be for them when they can't communicate with us. I'm so glad that we have been doing ASL with her.

Sure, there is a baby in your tummy Mommy!
Emma is always patting my belly while declaring "bebee"! I wonder sometimes though if she isn't, as my sister said, just humoring us. "Sure, you guys. There's a baby in there!" (rolls eyes!) She does find lots of ways to be close to the baby though. She kisses my tummy, (the baby) reads to the baby, offers the baby food and water, (which make for a wet and sticky tummy sometimes!) and last night she used our back massager to massage the baby. It actually felt pretty good! I hope the baby liked it as much!

This is the TP that I made for Emma. Although the pic makes it look kind of small, it really is rather spacious. Tuan, Emma and I (9 months preg no less) all fit in it together! It actually went together pretty fast - and I'm not an expert seamstress! And thank you, thank you, thank you to my sister Cindy for sending me the pattern. I have already loaned it out to someone else who wants to make one. Oh, and Emma seems to really enjoy it.
