When we first arrived, Emma ran squealing from my sisters dogs. It didn't take long though for her to warm up to them. This is Emma and her cousin Hannah 'riding' Pichinde. (I can't say enough good things about this dog. She is wonderfully calm and adores kids!)

My sister and I went to a Scandi Dawg Festival. There Emma had her first ice-cream cone. I think she liked it!

When we first got to Idaho, we stayed with my sister and her family. This is Emma and Tuan kicked back and sharing pretzels.

We also got a new (different) car right before we moved. It is a toyota rav 4 and we all like it very much. The benefits are that Emma is not as far away from me, so I can reach back and touch her legs and it is higher off the ground - meaning I don't have to lean over and down to get her in and out! She slept a lot on the way out, but it was still a pretty crazy trip. She actually cut all four of her 1-year-molars while we traveled - this girl just couldn't catch a break!

On our drive from Oklahoma to Idaho, we stopped in a Bass Pro Shops for a quick bite to eat - yes, they actually have a McDonalds in the store! - but mostly so that Emma could get out, stretch and play with wild animals. Ok, so they were stuffed!

Just before we moved (notice the mess of boxes in the background!) Emma started eating bananas. Lots of bananas! It was the first time she ate any fruit.

Welcome back!!

Whew! I know it has been just ages since my last post. That is due mostly in part to a very big change taking place in our lives. Tuan and I have just completed our move from Oklahoma to Idaho. We are now settled in Twin Falls, Id. So here is a picture crash course of our last 4 months - enjoy!

Routine

Emma definately knows the routine. But the first time she initieated it on her own was very funny and cute. (Cut me some slack here guys - I'm a first time mom!) She had her bath, we read scriptures and prayed. Now is when I usually pick her up, we wave goodnight to 'daddy' and go nurse to sleep on the bed. She didn't even give me time to pick her up before she hastely waved to Tuan and ran into the bedroom and climed into bed where she started calling to me!

I was folding laundry and to keep Emma from unfolding it as fast as I could fold it I tied this blanket around her shoulders - she loved it and walked all around the house in it. When it fell off, she picked it up and brought it to me to put back on her! Best toy ever!

Emma wanted to sit in her seat and have some dinner, but she also wanted to sit on her potty! I figured it was no big deal to let her sit on both! The result - this hilarious pic!

Guess what Emma is devouring here: raw flour Guess what I craved and ate when I was pregnant with her . . . . raw flour!

Again, it's hard to see in this pic but Emma took a hard fall on some concret and scraped her nose pretty good. It happened on Saturday, so at church on Sunday her nose was bright red and she looked like Rudolph!

We have tons of pics of Emma grinning with Tuan - finally one of her having a great time on my lap. Too bad I'm not actually in the pic! :o)

It's a little bit hard to see in this picture, but if you look closely you can see that Emma's face is red and puffy all over! I immediately called my herbalist and she told me what herbs to give Emma and it went away within the hour. It has come back 2 times since (I always give her the herbs before it gets this bad). The circumstances have never been the same, so while I know that this time she picked up some chemical, I don't know what is giving it to her.

Emma had lots of fun playing with her new toys!

It started out slow, but after a little bite of candle and lots and lots of frosting we had a very happy baby!

Yes - I know Emma's birthday was in Feb! Just be glad you are seeing these pics at all!

Oops! I forgot to mention who these two are! For those of you reading this who aren't in my family, the adorable girl in the wagon is my beautiful niece, Hannah. (The pic is about 9 mos old). The other adorable girl is my beautiful daughter, Emma. Hannah's mother and I are sisters. Hannah came to visit when Emma was born and when Emma started grinning like this (about 4 days ago) I just couldn't believe how much she reminded me of Hannah.

I wanted to photo-shop these pics together so you could really see the resemblance. But wow - are these two cousins or what!
